So I'm finally getting around to writing a letter to the VP of communications at COTA. The letter sucks for now, thanks to antihistamines, wicked deadlines at work, lack of sleep due to sick kids, SXSW shenanigans, and lack of sex. However I was wondering if anyone who might have some chop chop ninja skillz at writing cold-call hire me letters could take a look at what I've drafted and offer some suggestions. I'm not talking the prose or vocabulary, just the approach. I'm not great at selling myself, and I'm also having a real time trying to express my enthusiasm without it sounding like I'm just some whack job who wants to meet Mario Andretti. I really do want to progress y career, and if I'm gonna make a big move, why not move to a field that I am truly passionate about? Makes sense to me.

Any help? This is serious bizniss, yo.

I'd help if I could, but having zero experience doing something like that successfully, about the best I could do is give grammar and punctuation advice.

I'd be happy to help, I just finished looking at a stack of cover letters/resumes for prospective interns today, so I'd love to read something an actual adult put together.

Shoot it bradleysparker AT gmail DOT com if you want me to take a look

I've never written a cold letter, but I've had a bunch come my way and I would be happy to look at yours. I could look at your resume as well if you like. My job has me looking at a good number of resumes. If you click on my screen name it will take you to my Kinja page. My real name is at the top. Add an @gmail.com and it will get to me or you can DM me a link via twitter. I use my real name there as well.
